The buzz from the other end of the camera!

Mary has the perfect presence – warm, encouraging, friendly and peppy. She made me feel completely at ease, totally unconscious of the fact that there was a camera in her hands. And the memories she captured – of our family and our new baby on the way – will be cherished for a lifetime!

We’ve only done a couple of “photo shoots” in our time, but the one with Mary was definitely the best.  She made us feel comfortable right out of the gates, gave thoughtful but not pushy suggestions for shots, and the pictures she got were fantastic.  She really captured the joy, peace, and love we were feeling in advance of giving birth to our first child.  They are pictures we’ll cherish forever and are a proud fixture in our home (and the homes of our family members).  Thanks Mary!

Our family, my husband and two small children, had our first family photos taken with Mary this fall.  Mary was patient, creative, and professional- all while being laid back. We were awed by the beautiful pictures that Mary was able to capture of our family.  With the chaos of a baby, three people who tend to blink out of sync, a windy day, a setting sun and two dogs – I expected only a shot or two would come out.  But now we have over a dozen and all of them are favorites!  Mary has a great photojournalistic style and an innate sense of when to push the trigger.  We highly recommend her to preserve your family moments.

I can’t say enough good things about Mary’s work. Mary was kind enough to fit us into her schedule the day before I was to be admitted for a major surgery. In a lucky one-hour respite from Seattle’s rain, Mary met us at Green Lake to take our family’s portrait. She was able to frame me (worried about surgery and having a bad hair day), my husband, and my two-year-old daughter (who doesn’t like looking at cameras) into some fabulous images. The photographs turned out so well and I smile every time I view them. I look forward to having Mary photograph us again in the future.
